I use mine for "adventure" travel. It is easy to separate clean and dirty clothes, plus the pockets on the end to store toiletries on one side, travel info on the other (or shoes). Weight is only 7.5 lbs.

I use my duffel bag for work and I transport a small toolbag, work shoes and clothing. The baggage handlers for the airlines destroyed my previous duffel after one round trip but my High Sierra has been very well put together and has survived 3 round trips (including being loaded and unloaded in the rain)so far and still looks new. This bag was a great investment!
