I bought this because I wanted a backpack purse (which are hard to find lately). The strap is not fastened in the middle, but slides freely through a loop to convert to backpack, making it awkward to put on. The strap is too short, making the backpack very tight, and uncomfortable to put on over a jacket.
As a shoulder/hand bag it would be fine.
