I purchased this so I wouldn't have to choose between carrying my laptop or backpack since both at the same time re unmanageable. It has more than enough room for laptop, all accessories, and anything else you would ever want to carry. In fact, the size may be a slight drawback in that you can fit so much stuff in it that it gets heavy to lift. It can be a tight squeeze also on mass transit buses (the big touring kind used for extra long commutes from the suburbs of Atlanta). I like the two "cup" holders on either side.
