Johnston & Murphy, the highly respected manufacturer of fine leather goods had a very humble beginning; with one immigrant’s dream of producing high quality shoes in America.  In 1850, William J. Dudley, in his New Jersey home, began, what has turned into a multimillion dollar leather goods business.   It all started with a very well made pair of shoes and has grown into a shoe, briefcase, luggage, leather accessory and handbag giant.
